Q: How do I avoid my concealer creasing?
A: Like all makeup prep, skincare matters and hydration is key. Starting with well-moisturized under-eyes will help concealer go on smoothly, spread evenly, and prevent it from creasing and looking cakey (especially if you have dry skin or mature skin). After applying concealer, wait for it to set and then gently tap or roll a fluffy brush over the area you applied concealer with a setting powder.
Q: Where do you put concealer?
A: Concealer can be used in multiple areas. Apply under the eyes to cover dark circles, you can also use it to cover redness and blemishes. Concealer can also be used to brighten up areas of the face. Apply it on the outer corner of your eyes towards your hairline to create a snatched look, as well as smile lines, chin and center of forehead just above the brows. This will brighten and shape your face in a subtle way.
Q: What’s the best way to apply concealer?
A: You can use a brush, damp sponge or your fingertips.
Q: What’s the best way to set a concealer?
A: Gently press a setting powder onto the areas you concealed with a flat brush or powder puff .
Q: Do you put concealer on before or after foundation?
A: Typically foundation is applied first as foundation is used to even out the whole face first and then you apply concealer where you need more coverage. However, if you're planning on being photographed you could apply concealer before foundation as flash can accentuate where concealer was applied.
Q: Can you use concealer as a foundation?
A: Dose of Colors concealers are creamy and full coverage, making them easy to blend all over.
